books in bookcase...

Well, all of my books are in my new bookcase. Our site is live. My tickets to Europe are bought. Because of the last sentence, I'm now broke. But happy. And settled. It's a nice feeling. Yes, NYC is overpriced, but I'm lovin every minute of it! =)

I've been thinking lately about the fact that I had four goals for moving to NYC:

1) Find a job (preferably working for a small company).
2) Find an apartment (near the subway and preferably in Manhattan).
3) Buy a computer and get high-speed Internet access.
4) Fly to Poland.

Now I realize that I did/am going to do all of them! Took me longer than I thought it would and I have less money now that I thought I would, but that's life, isn't it? I have a cool job at a small company that gives me lots of experience and flexibility. My apartment is in a cool location in Astoria, Queens (3 minute walk from the subway, 20 minute subway ride to Manhattan) and I have cool roommates that I get along with well. I have a pretty sweet machine. I pay $10/month for high-speed Internet access since I divide it with my two roommates and a guy downstairs is considering sharing the connection, so I could save even more. I have airline tickets to Poland and Germany this summer. I even have air conditioning. Life is good. :-)

Now I guess I have to make up a new list of goals. ;-)
